The main task of the Moldovan delegation to JCC is to organize the monitoring of the situation in the Security Zone and to take preventive decisions, based on consensus of the parties, aimed at maintaining peace and rule of law in the peacekeeping process.

To the Moldovan delegation to JCC are designated persons in charge from the central public administration authorities and local authorities. They are proposed by the heads of these authorities in coordination with the Deputy Prime Minister responsible for reintegration.

The Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission (JCC) represents the interests of the Republic of Moldova in the JCC and directly participates in the implementation of the Agreement on the principles of a peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, signed by the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation on 21 July 1992.
