Vlad Kulminski received congratulations on the occasion of his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration from Claus Neukirch, Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova during an official meeting on August 9, 2021. The willingness to maintain productive and forward-looking cooperation in the Transnistrian settlement negotiations was pointed out.
10.08.2021, Chisinau – The Bureau for Reintegration makes the following clarifications in the context of the notification received from the People's Advocate for children rights and information circulated in some media sources, with reference to possible suspension of the activity of „Lucian Blaga” theoretical lyceum from Tiraspol for a period of 3 months following a recent „decision” issued in the Transnistrian region.
02.08.2021, Chisinau – As we previously already emphasized, the issue of human rights’ observance in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova is on the list of permanent key priorities of the national authorities. The specific objectives in this field are reflected in multiple policy documents under implementation, including the National Human Rights Action Plan for 2018-2022, approved by Parliament Decision no.89 of 24.05.2018. The importance of this issue was also reconfirmed in the Declaration on the “5 + 2” format negotiation process on Transnistrian settlement, approved on 04.12.2020 during the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Tirana.
A ceremony dedicated to the 29th anniversary from the deployment of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the Security Zone of the Republic of Moldova was held in Bender.
29.07.2021, Chisinau - As it is well known in relation to vehicles from the Transnistrian region starting with September 1, 2021, only ones with Republic of Moldova license plates or neutral model number plates, accompanied by a sticker with the 'MD' inscription on the rear of the car, will have access to international road traffic.
The Delegation of the Republic of Moldova highlighted the case of July 15, 2021 when two employees of the Dubasari Police Inspectorate have been illegally detained for about 12 hours by the representatives of the so-called “mgb” subordinated to Tiraspol.
21.07.2021, Chisinau - The Bureau of Reintegration has notified the competent national authorities with regard to the "conviction" of Ghenadii Ciorba, citizen of the Republic of Moldova, on July 19, 2021. Ciorba is to be illegally deprived of his freedom for another 3 years and 3 months in the Transnistrian region in addition to the period of unfounded detention of over 1 year (July 3, 2020 – July 18, 2021). It’s worth recalling that he was illegally detained on July 3, 2020 in Ribnita for expressing disagreement with the abusive restriction by Tiraspol (under alleged pandemic pretexts) of the right to free movement of inhabitants between both banks of the Nistru river.
19.07.2021, Chisinau - The Bureau of Reintegration took note of the tragic incident which occurred on July 16, 2021in the Transnistrian region. It refers to a 19-year-old man enrolled in the pseudo-military structures on the left bank of the Nistru who was shot during the alleged exercises.
The delegation of the Republic of Moldova reiterated during the meeting of the Joint Control Commission in Bender the need to examine the issue of illegal presence of the so-called "frontier structure" in the Security Zone as a risk element for free movement and other fundamental rights of citizens.
13.07.2021, Chisinau – The Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Olga Cebotari, had an online meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova, Steven Fisher. The meeting was attended as well by diplomatic mission officials and representatives of the Institute for Strategic Initiatives (IPIS).
