On July 8 and 9, in Bender, the members of the Joint Control Commission discussed about ensuring free movement and public order in the Security Zone in the context of the early parliamentary elections on July 11 this year.
05.07.2021, Chisinau - Today, the 4th meeting of this year on the exchange of experience between the Bureau of Reintegration and the Ministry for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine was held online, at the level of decision makers, with the participation of Deputy Prime Ministers responsible for these areas, Olga Cebotari and Oleksii Reznikov, accompanied by the Head of the Bureau, Alin Gvidiani, and Deputy Minister Ihor Yaremenko, respectively.
The draft agenda for the regular meeting of the Joint Control Commission on the 1st of July included a number of topics of great interest regarding the situation in the Security Zone and the functionality of the peacekeeping mechanisms.
On 24 June, the JCC Delegations met in Bender to discuss issues occurring in the Security Zone. The regular weekly meeting was to be chaired by the representatives of the Russian Federation.
23.06.2021, Chisinau – The working group meeting of the sectoral experts on education from Chisinau and Tiraspol was held online for the second time this year. It was also attended by the representatives of the “5+2” negotiation format.
22.06.2021, Chisinau – The acting Deputy Prime Minister Olga Cebotari discussed with the Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova Claus Neukirch aspects of the negotiation process on the Transnistrian settlement, the dynamics of the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol in the established formats, and the identification of viable solutions to current issues. The readiness of the Moldovan side to engage actively and without any preconditions in a new round of "5+2" negotiations was reiterated.
It was not possible to include in the agenda of the meeting on June 17 the most pressing issues that endanger the situation in the Security Zone. Tiraspol’s representatives opposed it and they also avoided discussing issues regarding the elimination of "border guards" from the perimeter of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.
17.06.2021, Chisinau – The acting Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari paid a working visit to Rezina, located in the Security Zone, where she met with the representatives of level I and II local public administration, decentralized authorities, the Territorial Office of the State Chancellery, medical and teaching staff from the district.
16.06.2021, Chisinau – Given the measures on combating the Coronavirus and immunizing the population on both banks of the Nistru river, we would like inform that the national institutions redistributed 126,307 doses of the anti-COVID-19 vaccine to the administration in the Transnistrian region. These doses were part of the humanitarian aid batches offered to the Republic of Moldova, but also of the acquisitions made from the budgetary resources.
11.06.2021, Chisinau – Today, an online meeting of the working group for the development of road transportation and infrastructure was convened by the experts from Chisinau and Tiraspol.
