During the working visit to the Criuleni district, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița had a meeting today with residents and mayor of the village of Jevreni - one of the 18 localities in the region, which will benefit from financial assistance within the National Program European Village.

Mayor Igor Rotaru said that the local development project in Jevreni provides for the construction of a main aqueduct, with a total cost of 9.8 million lei. Thus, all 467 households in the locality will have access to the drinking water network.

"During 2022-2023, the Government will finance 492 local development projects, with a total value of over 2 billion lei. These investments will contribute to the sustainable development of localities, providing citizens with quality public services and modern social infrastructure. Every household in our country must feel the benefits of this ambitious program", said Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița.

The residents of Jevreni welcomed the launch of the European Village National Program, noting that they would like more investment projects, including in the development of education and medical services. Also, people were interested in the measures that the Executive will undertake to support the population in the rural areas of the country during the cold period of the year. In this context, Natalia Gavrilița mentioned that the Government will present this week an Action Plan on providing the population with firewood for the cold season.

The Single Program Document for 2022–2024, approved by the Executive, includes 18 local development projects in the Criuleni district, with a total value of 134 million lei. For their implementation, 85 million lei will be allocated from the National Fund for Regional Development.
