The medical staff, as well as other public employees who were infected with Covid-19 while fulfilling their job duties till 30 September 2020 will receive a one-off allowance worth 16,000 lei. The cabinet approved a decision to this end at a meeting today.     

 

877 people will benefit from the one-off allowance, of whom 780 are medical employees. On this purpose, the Finance Ministry will earmark 14 million lei from the government’s intervention fund.   

 

So far, 16,895 public sector employees have benefited from the one-off allowance of 16,000 lei.
