The emergency state in the public health sector has been extended in Moldova till 15 February 2021. Thus, till this date, the work of clubs, discoteques, movie theatres, concert halls and community centres, except for theatres, will be banned. At the same time, the restaurants will close at 22:00.   

Under a today’s decision by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP), the regime of activity of restaurants and coffee houses will be maintained during the next month: from 7:00 till 22:00. The restriction applies also to the public nourishment units, placed in the points of sale of oils products, commercial centres and airports.   

In continuation, the presence of audience will be prohibited at the headquarters of movie theatres, concert halls and community centres, except for theatres, which will be able to hold plays in line with measures provided for in the CNESP decision. Also, starting from 16 January, decision-makers allow the resumption of sports competitions without spectators, held in open air and in close spaces by the National Sports Federations, accredited by the Education, Culture and Research Ministry.  

Also, decision makers will allow the carrying out of the local phase of school Olympiads in education disciplines, with the physical presence of pupils, starting from 16 January 2021, at the headquarters of the education institutions where they study. The holding of the 19th Congress on the report and election of the leadership bodies of the Moldovan Football Federation will be allowed on 22 January 2021.

CNESP also instructed that the public and private institutions work according to a special working regime, with the strictly necessary staff attracted to work. The distance work must be ensured for the employees who do not need to compulsorily be present at the working place. The ministries, State Chancellery, other central administrative authorities subordinated to the government and organizational structures within the sphere of their competence will work in special regime as of 7:30 till 16:00 and the dinner break beginning with 12:00 till 12:30.
