Citizens’ access to the information on the government’s work will be enhanced and the public services will be further modernized. The cabinet today approved an action plan for open governance 2019-2020, in order to ensure transparent, responsible and efficient governance.

The document will improve the authorities’ dialogue with the civil society and will develop the civil servants’ capacities as to the open governance. At the same time, the plan includes actions dealing with the ensuring of the transparency of public procurement, publication of open data in due time and promotion of its use by the civil society.  

In this respect, decision-makers are to develop mechanisms of electronic participation in the decision-taking process, with the placement of information of interest for the civil society in the online environment. At the same time, they will organize actions of informing citizens and representatives of the business environment about the use of electronic public services. The programmes, Diaspora’s Groups of Excellence and Government Closer to You will be implemented, in order to involve citizens of Moldova from abroad in the decision-making process.  

Also, the public services will continue to be modernized – they will be focused on  citizens and will become more efficient. Under the plan, three types of public services are to be modernized: the release of driver’s licence, providing the unemployment benefit, establishing the disability and the capacity to work.
