The period of participation in the actions for the fight for the defense of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova will be calculated in triplicate at the total contribution period necessary to grant the right to a pension. A decision to this effect was approved at a today's cabinet meeting.

 

The provision will be applied in the case of participants in combat actions on the Dniester, with the presentation of the ID card of a new model war veteran and a certificate, indicating the period of participation in combat actions, issued by the Ministry of Defense.

 

The document, prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, comes to support the veterans of the Dniester war and their family members, in the context of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the fighting, which took place on 2 March -13 August 1992.

 

The expenses for the implementation of the project are to be covered from the financial means provided in the budget for 2022.
