Following the dialogue held at the level of political representatives in the negotiation process on the Transnistrian settlement, with the involvement of the OSCE Presidency-in-Office, the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova and relevant international partners, today the main negotiator in Tiraspol informed about the approval of a ”decision”, which will ensure the extension to August 31 of the deadline for action of the Protocol Decision ”Regarding some measures of settling issues concerning the realization of the ”2006 Mechanism” on using agricultural lands located in the Dubăsari district, beyond the Tiraspol-Camenca road” from November 25, 2017.

We remind that at the end of 2021 (https://gov.md/en/content/remark-context-message-tiraspol-regarding-initiative-set-limit-term-application-protocol) Tiraspol notified about the intention to limit until June 30, 2022 the provisions of the protocol decision mentioned above, which represents a serious deviation from the commitments assumed in the negotiations, no deadlines being agreed in the respective document.

We note, unfortunately, that the issue of farmers' access to agricultural land in their possession, ownership and use remains relevant for the next period in the context in which Chisinau's request to cancel any unjustified terms and restrictions has not been properly addressed.

Thus, the issue of agricultural land in Dubasari district remains in the attention of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Bureau of Reintegration Policies, who will continue to make all possible efforts, using all available interaction channels and existing intervention possibilities to achieve a positive, sustainable and final solution. with the relinquishment by Tiraspol of unilateral actions and unacceptable conditions.
