Moldovan PM has dialogue with Serbian counterpart
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu has had a meeting with PM of Serbia Djuro Macut, on the sidelines of the South-East European Cooperation Process Summit in Sofia. The officials discussed the boosting of the Moldova–Serbia political dialogue, as well as strengthening bilateral, regional and European-level cooperation.
“We have the opportunity to better harness the potential of our relations, including through economic cooperation, institutional exchanges and coordination within regional and multilateral platforms,” stated Prime Minister Munteanu.
During the discussions, the Moldovan PM noted that Serbia stayed an important actor in the Western Balkans and a relevant partner in the context of regional cooperation. The sides exchanged opinions on security developments in the region, the European paths of both states and the importance of strengthening regional resilience.
The two prime ministers reaffirmed their readiness to continue bilateral dialogue and cooperation in areas of common interest, including by stimulating trade exchanges and advancing negotiations on draft agreements currently under consideration, for the benefit of the citizens of both states.
