On 23 October 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri attended the festive event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the founding of the „Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt” Theoretical Lyceum in Grigoriopol, which is temporarily located in the building of the lyceum in the village of Doroțcaia, Dubăsari district.

In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the crucial role of education in shaping the younger generation, as well as the teachers’ contribution to promoting the Romanian language and national values.

„Today, children whose parents went through those dramatic moments when the school was forcibly evacuated are studying here. This is an unfair and sad reality that has lasted for far too long. We will do everything in our power to bring this high school back home, to Grigoriopol,” stated Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Chiveri.

In turn, representatives of the lyceum administration expressed their gratitude to the Government of the Republic Moldova for the support provided to ensure the proper functioning of the educational institution and the creation of conditions necessary for a modern educational process.

Over three decades of activity, the lyceum has enjoyed the unwavering trust of parents who chose education in the Romanian language for their children. Currently, 314 pupils study at the school, continuing to receive their education in their native language.
