Meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Chiveri with the UN Population Fund Representative and the UN Development Programme Resident Representative in the Republic of Moldova

On April 9, 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri held a working meeting with Karina Nersesyan, Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the Republic of Moldova, and Daniela Gasparikova, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Republic of Moldova.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed programs and projects jointly implemented by leading UN agencies on both banks of the Nistru River, aimed at strengthening confidence-building measures, promoting social cohesion, and ensuring gender equality.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of UN activities and initiatives focused on improving citizens’ quality of life and protecting human rights, and highlighted the need to align their efforts with the strategic objective of the reintegration of the country.
