Boscana commune completed modernization of the public street lighting that was financed from the country's reintegration funds

Boscana commune from Criuleni district has completed modernization of the street lighting system that was financed from the Country Reintegration Action Program. There were 915 thousand lei allocated for modernizing and ensuring safe operation, profitability, economic and energy efficiency of the public lighting service infrastructure in Boșcana and Mardareuca villages. The implemented project is worth 300 thousand lei from the sources allocated by the Government in 2020, and Boscana is the first beneficiary of all to carry out the project.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, visited today this locality from the Security Zone to take note on the spot about the project implementation and to discuss with the locals about the situation in the locality. Among the pressing problems are extension of the aqueduct, sanitation and sewerage.

Cristina Lesnic appreciated how the local public administration carried out the project and encouraged them to continue applying for financing new projects. "The funds of the Country Reintegration Action Program are limited, but chances to receive funding are high for the most competitive projects. The modern infrastructure for ensuring a decent life, especially in the Security Zone, is very important", said Cristina Lesnic.

Today, 80 percent of Boscana locality and about 3,500 inhabitants benefit from street lighting.

The Town Hall informed that they are looking for sources to procure equipment that would allow rehabilitation of the local sanitation enterprise and, as a result, grant provision of sanitation and waste disposal services for the inhabitants of the two villages of the commune.

Another topic discussed was functioning of the family doctors center and access of the population to quality medical services given the epidemiological conditions created by the new coronavirus.

The mayor of Boscana, Svetlana Racul, thanked for the support given to the locality and reiterated that the local public administration is making efforts to offer a better life to the villagers.

Officials exchanged views on resumption of the new school year for students and teachers, as well as reopening of kindergartens.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation between the central and local public administrations.
