The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Roman Roșca, on a working visit to the Ștefan Vodă district
On August 5, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Roman Roșca paid a working visit to the Ștefan Vodă district, during which he held meetings with representatives of the local public administration authorities from the localities of Purcari, Răscăieți, Talmaza, as well as with the leadership of the Ștefan Vodă District Council.
During the visit, topics of strategic interest for the communities in the Security Zone were addressed, including: the state of road infrastructure, access to drinking water, sewage systems, local development projects, and prospects for improving citizens' quality of life.
Deputy Prime Minister Roșca reviewed the implementation process of projects financed through the current year’s Program of Activities for the Reintegration of the Country, as well as the impact of projects carried out in previous years, highlighting the importance of ensuring continuity and direct consultations when setting priorities.
“The European integration process provides a framework for modernization and support for our communities, and the reintegration of the country is a national strategic objective. These two processes are mutually reinforcing. Economic development, quality public services, and investments in infrastructure directly contribute to creating the necessary conditions for a peaceful and sustainable reintegration,” stated the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration.
The local public administrations highlighted tangible achievements on the ground in advancing the country’s reintegration policies, including examples showing that more and more residents from the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova are choosing to remain and invest in localities on the right bank of the Nistru River. They are drawn by growing markets, access to high-quality medical and social services, better-paying jobs, and opportunities offered through regional development policies.
The authorities of the Republic of Moldova will continue to advance the agenda aimed at bringing together the citizens of the left and right banks of the Nistru River through inclusive policies, continuous dialogue and concrete community development projects.
