Details on the actions taken by the Bureau of Reintegration regarding detention of two residents from Molovata Noua by the Transnistrian force structures

The Bureau of Reintegration notified the law enforcement authorities regarding detention of two ambulance drivers living in Molovata Noua, a village located in the Security Zone. They were apprehended under the pretext that they violated traffic rules during the COVID-19 pandemic and sentenced to 15 days in detention.

 

We would like to mention that these two residents from Molovata Noua were working at "the so-called ambulance services from Dubăsari town", a region that is actually not controlled by the constitutional authorities.

 

Immediately after being informed about the incident, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, notified the OSCE Mission in Chisinau, which deployed a team to document the situation on the spot.

 

Withal, the chief negotiator sent a Brief to all participants in the "5+2" negotiation process, mentioning the incident and installation of illegal posts in the Security Zone, while the Moldovan Delegation to the Joint Control Commission approached this endeavor in the same way.

 

The Bureau of Reintegration insists on all the dialogue means to unconditionally release the two persons and to remove the infrastructure of the control posts, illegally installed by the Transnistrian side.
