“The Last Bell” rang in Romanian-language schools on the left bank of the Nistru River
On 29 May 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri took part in ceremonial events dedicated to the “Last Bell” in the localities of Cocieri, Corjova, Molovata, and Roghi in the Dubăsari district.
During the events, the official congratulated pupils, teachers, and parents on the completion of the 2025–2026 school year and awarded certificates of excellence to pupils who achieved outstanding results.
Addressing those present, the Deputy Prime Minister praised the pupils’ effort and perseverance, as well as the teachers’ dedication to the educational process, emphasizing the essential role of Romanian-language education in the development and formation of new generations.
“Every achievement obtained through hard work and perseverance represents an important foundation for the future. I wish the graduates courage and success in choosing their professional path, and all pupils a beautiful and well-deserved vacation. Continue to learn, to dream, and to believe in your own strength,” said Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri.
It should be noted that, within dialogue platforms with Tiraspol, the constitutional authorities continuously call for an end to all forms of pressure on pupils and teachers in the eight educational institutions with Romanian-language instruction, including the practice of illegally placing minors on “military registration” within unconstitutional military structures.
At the same time, young people and children in the Transnistrian region benefit from all opportunities provided by the national legal framework, including access to educational institutions on the right bank of the Nistru River and abroad in accordance with European standards and the Bologna system, as well as opportunities for integration into the labor market. Admission procedures to higher education institutions are applied uniformly across the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova.
