Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Roman Roșca, and the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Moldova, Yeşim Oruç
On August 13, 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Roman Roșca, held a courtesy meeting with Ms. Yeşim Oruç, the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Moldova, accompanied by Ms. Kristin Jenssen, UN Peace and Development Adviser.
During the discussions, the activities carried out by UN agencies in the Republic of Moldova were reviewed, focusing on assistance programs aimed at confidence-building measures between both banks of the Nistru River, including prospects for their further development in areas such as the protection of vulnerable groups, building sustainable and inclusive peace in the region, energy resilience, environmental protection, and more.
The UN high representative congratulated the Deputy Prime Minister on his appointment and wished him success in promoting the process of reintegration of the Republic of Moldova. In turn, Roman Roșca expressed his gratitude for the constructive interaction on the reintegration dimension between UN agencies and national authorities, emphasizing the importance of keeping in focus and addressing the most pressing issues faced by residents on both banks of the Nistru River.
