The meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Chiveri with Nick Pietrowicz, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States of America

On November 12, 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Valeriu Chiveri, met with Nick Pietrowicz, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States of America in the Republic of Moldova.

The American diplomat congratulated the Deputy Prime Minister on his appointment and wished him success in carrying out his mandate.

During the meeting, current aspects of the Transnistrian settlement process were discussed, as well as actions taken by national authorities to promote policies for the gradual reintegration of the eastern districts of the country into the unified national framework. In this context, the diplomat provided information on the outcomes of recent discussions held in Tiraspol

Nick Pietrowicz also reiterated the firm commitment of the U.S. Government to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova within its internationally recognized borders, emphasizing the readiness to continue the dialogue in areas of mutual interest.

In turn, Valeriu Chiveri expressed gratitude to the American partners for their constant support of the Republic of Moldova’s efforts to bring the two banks of the Nistru River closer together.
