Projects to be founded under the 2020 Country Reintegration Action Program were selected
The Selection Committee of the Country Reintegration Action Program met for the second time today to evaluate the projects to be funded in 2020.
Members of the Committee validated the list of projects to be proposed for approval by Government Decision and the ineligible projects, which were either submitted after the deadline or had an incomplete file. In total, 120 projects worth more than 74 million lei were submitted, with their own contribution of 20 million.
The projects submitted for financing were evaluated according to the highest direct impact for our citizens who live in the Security Zone, considering the current situation as well.
Submission of the applications was possible between January 1 and February 10, 2020, being the 12th call for projects under the Country Reintegration Action Program. In total, between 2011 and 2019, 393 projects worth 111.74 million lei were financed.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, with participation, through a videoconference system, of representatives of all the Committee member-institutions, among them State Chancellery, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Ministry of Finance, National Anti-corruption Center, Bureau of Reintegration. The meeting was deliberative.
The annual budget of the Country Reintegration Action Program is 15 million lei. The projects eligible for competition should be implemented in the Security Zone and propose specific activities, such as community and regional development, rehabilitation and renovation of the local infrastructure, modernization of the key social institutions, solving the urgent development problems, providing essential public services, as well as actions that contribute to promoting confidence-building measures between the population on both banks of Nistru and to achieving the government's objective of reintegrating the country.
Further on, the Committee will submit for Government’s approval the draft Decision with the list of projects, while the applicants will be able to implement their projects by the end of this year.
