Teachers from the schools with Romanian curricula on the left bank of Nistru began receiving their salaries
Approx. 20 employees from the boarding school for orphan children from Bender, subordinated to Chisinau, received their salaries today at an ATM in Varnita. Transportation by a school bus was organized for them, in compliance with the anti-epidemiological rules, keeping the social distance in the bus, and being equipped with masks, medical gloves and disinfectants.
The bus was accompanied by employees of the Bender Police Inspectorate, and the entire procedure was monitored by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, representatives of the OSCE and the People's Advocate's Office.
Movement between Nistru banks was restricted by the Transnistrian side in the context of the epidemiological situation, creating more problems for the Security Zone residents and for personnel from Moldovan schools in the Transnistrian region. The Transnistrian side requires isolation at home for 14 days of persons crossing the administrative line, with exception of certain categories of citizens, agreed between Chisinau and Tiraspol, among them being farmers who have land beyond the Rybnita-Tiraspol route, the staff of the penitentiary, electricity and gas emergency and maintenance services.
Thus, after state of emergency being declared, personnel from Moldovan schools on the left bank of Nistru encounter difficulties when receiving their salaries. The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, engaged in organizing unimpeded transportation of teachers to Varnita.
"It is our moral duty to ensure access of our citizens to a minimum of services that will allow them to pass over this complicated period," said Cristina Lesnic.
On Tuesday, teachers from Moldovan high schools on the left bank of Nistru will receive their salaries according to a similar procedure. The salaries payment method for teachers from the left bank will be decided according to evolution of the epidemiological situation and extension of the restrictive measures appointed by the Commission for Emergency Situations.
