Verification of the readiness level for the new academic year in Romanian-language educational institutions in the Transnistrian region

On August 28–29 of this year, representatives of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, the National Inspectorate for Technical Supervision, and the National Agency for Public Health conducted working visits to educational institutions teaching in Romanian language in the Transnistrian region, in order to verify the level of readiness for the 2025–2026 academic year.
It was found that, despite the efforts made by teachers and school administrations to provide appropriate learning conditions for pupils, five out of the eight institutions operate in rented facilities that do not meet the requirements of the educational process, being only adapted to the needs of the schools. These include the “Constantin Sucitu” Gymnasium in Corjova, Dubăsari district, Roghi Gymnasium in Dubăsari district, the “Evrica” Theoretical Lyceum in Rîbnița, the “Lucian Blaga” Theoretical Lyceum in Tiraspol, and the “Alexandru cel Bun” Theoretical Lyceum in Bender. This situation creates additional difficulties in managing infrastructure and highlights the urgent need to provide own premises to these institutions.
The proper preparation of these gymnasiums and lyceums for the resumption of the educational process in the 2025–2026 academic year is to be ensured.
The authorities of the Republic of Moldova reaffirm their firm commitment to supporting the functioning of educational institutions in the Transnistrian region and to identifying sustainable solutions for creating adequate, safe, and stable educational conditions for all pupils.
