On December 11, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri paid a working visit to the Dubăsari district, where he met with district leadership and the mayors of local communities. During the meeting, the current situation in the region and the challenges facing local authorities were discussed.
“Direct dialogue with local authorities is important to understand the real situation on the ground and to develop policies oriented toward the needs of the people. We will continue working together to strengthen cohesion and advance the interests of citizens in the Security Zone,” noted the Deputy Prime Minister.
The mayors described the current difficulties faced by communities, highlighting issues such as access to agricultural land, movement restrictions, the need for support in public infrastructure, and other factors affecting residents’ daily lives. At the same time, they expressed their appreciation to the Bureau for Reintegration Policies for the support provided, including the implementation of projects under the Program of Activities for the Reintegration of the Country. It is worth noting that over 600 projects have been implemented under the Program, totaling more than 225 million lei.
Valeriu Chiveri reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to protecting citizens’ interests and its readiness to take all necessary measures to ensure normal living conditions in settlements within the Security Zone. Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that responsible institutions will continue monitoring the situation and ensure timely implementation of necessary measures.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister also visited the village of Doroțcaia, where he spoke with staff from the Family Doctors’ Office. The discussion focused on working conditions for medical personnel, the institution’s needs, and access to services for local residents.
“It is important to provide comprehensive support to medical and sanitary institutions in settlements located in the Security Zone, as they are the first point of access for citizens to essential services. Strengthening the capacity of these institutions, improving working conditions for medical staff, and ensuring uninterrupted access to equipment and resources are priorities whose implementation directly contributes to the well-being of local communities,” emphasized Valeriu Chiveri.
