997 young people from the Transnistrian region received budget places in vocational and higher education institutions on the left bank of the Nistru river, according to records from the first semester of 2024

According to data from the first semester of 2024, provided by the Ministry of Education and Research, 997 young people from the Transnistrian region benefited from budget-funded places in higher education institutions (740 places), as well as secondary (188) and post-secondary vocational (69) on the right bank of the Nistru river.
An amount of 13.38 million lei was allocated for their studies, of which 9.59 million lei were paid for higher education institutions, 2.99 million lei for secondary vocational education institutions (vocational schools and centers of excellence) and 786.63 thousand lei for post-secondary vocational education institutions (colleges and centers of excellence).
These data do not include young people residing in the Transnistrian region and studying in educational institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science and district education departments at levels 0 – 3, I and II cycles (pre-school, primary, gymnasium and lyceum education).
