On December 26, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian participated in a working session of the Special Commission for Monitoring and Parliamentary Control over the Implementation of the Reintegration Policy of the Republic of Moldova (hereinafter referred to as the Commission), chaired by Deputy Roman Roșca, with the participation of members of the Commission, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research, heads of district education departments and directors of educational institutions teaching in Romanian in the Transnistrian region, Bender municipality as well as from the localities of Cocieri, Molovata Nouă, Varnița and Copanca.

During the meeting, the Commission discussed the current action plan of the relevant educational institutions, their mode of operation in the event of a potential energy crisis, as well as the priorities and needs of educational institutions for 2025.

Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research reported that in the event of crisis scenarios, about 18 institutions of primary and secondary education subordinate to the constitutional authorities will be directly affected. Working discussions were held on the preparation of institutions for the cold season and detailed information was collected to determine the needs depending on the scenarios that may occur after January 1, 2025.

Ensuring the proper functioning of all educational institutions is a priority and is under constant control of the responsible authorities.
