Citizens of the Republic of Moldova residing in the Transnistrian region will be able to participate in the Republican constitutional referendum and elections for the position of the President of the Republic of Moldova on October 20, 2024

In 21 settlements, located in the perimeter of the Security Zone, as well as in the mun. Chișinău 30 polling stations will be opened for residents of the Transnistrian region, who have documents certifying the identity of a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the right to vote in accordance with the Decision of the Central Election Commission No. 2867 of September 14, 2024: https://a.cec.md/ro/cu-privire-la-organizarea-sectiilor-de-votare-pentru-alegatorii-din-2751_111231.html

Thus, citizens of the Republic of Moldova with the right to vote, living in the settlements on the left bank of the Nistru River, within the electoral district of the mun. Bender, in the commune of Chițcani, the villages of Cremenciug and Gâsca from Căușeni district, which are temporarily out of constitutional control, exercise their right to vote in any of the mentioned electoral districts.

The functioning of the access routes for voters from the Transnistrian region to the polling stations is to be specified in coordination with the local public administration authorities.

It should be mentioned that on July 31, 2024, the nominal composition of the interinstitutional working group on the organization of polling stations for voters from localities of the left bank of the Nistru River at the elections of October 20, 2024 was approved, which includes representatives of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies and other national institutions, including members of the delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission on issues related to the management of potential risks related to illegal control posts located in the Security Zone.
