Comment of the Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission on uncoordinated training at the posts of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces

During the day of April 23, 2024, the military contingent of the Russian Federation within the Joint Peacekeeping Forces (JPF) conducted training for cases of so-called „imitation of repelling attacks on JFM posts”. The exercises took place at JFM posts located near Dubăsari, Cocieri, Bender, Fârlădeni, Hagimus.

The Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission declares that the conduct of the training without the necessary coordination causes new tensions in the Security Zone, scaring the population and demonstrating additional arguments that the constituent acts of the peacekeeping mission on the Nistru River are seriously and systematically violated.

The Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission calls on all JFM components to exclude such provocative actions contrary to the principles of pacification and the legislation of the Republic of Moldova.
