The current situation in the process of negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement and pressing issues in this file were addressed at the meeting of the Special Commission on Parliamentary Monitoring and Control over the Implementation of the Reintegrat

November 18, 2024, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian participated in the working session of the Special Commission on Parliamentary Monitoring and Control over the Implementation of the Reintegration Policy of the Republic of Moldova, chaired by the deputy Roman Roșca, with the participation of representatives of the central public administration authorities, including from the Bureau for Reintegration Policies.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration informed about the current state of the dialogue between Chișinău and Tiraspol, the efforts made by the Moldovan authorities to implement effective policies for the reintegration of the country, as well as about the Government priorities on this dimension.

The current problems of farmers, owners of agricultural land located after the Râbnița-Tiraspol road were also approached, as well as the needs existing in the institutions teaching in Romanian in the Transnistrian region and some cases of resonance regarding the violation of human rights in that area, with the revelation of potential intervention measures in this regard.

The discussions also mentioned the opportunity of increasing the allocations for the country reintegration activities in 2025 in order to offer the possibility of implementing several projects with a major impact in the perimeter of the Security Zone.
