The delay in convening the meeting of the Working Groups on education and the lack of reaction from Tiraspol to Chișinău's specific proposals are regrettable

We regret that Tiraspol has not responded to Chișinău's initiative to convene meetings of the Working Groups in the field of education for the period from 7 to 11 April 2025, the proposal for which was sent on 21 March this year through the established communication channel.
This unconstructive approach, manifested in ignoring the technical dialogue and efforts of Chișinău, is in sharp contrast to the rhetoric promoted by representatives of the region, calling for „dialogue” and „cooperation”. Such double standards raise doubts about the real intentions of Tiraspol in the process of resolving humanitarian issues.
Chișinău put forward for consideration a number of topical and important issues affecting the interests of the younger generation, including:
the problem of the building of the Theoretical Lyceum „Evrika” in Rîbnița and the proposal for its sustainable and legal resolution, put forward following the visit of February 28 this year;
resumption of access to the historical building of the Theoretical Lyceum „Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt” in Grigoriopol;
concern about the illegal practice of registering pupils from eight educational institutions with Romanian language instruction for military service;
the need to exclude anti-Moldovan content from school textbooks used in the Transnistrian region;
the possibility of providing information and methodological support on the implementation of the educational system based on the Bologna Process.
It is worth noting that, although one of the conditions related to the receipt of natural gas on the left bank of the Nistru River was the return of the buildings intended for the Theoretical Lyceum „Evrika” in Rîbnița, we have not yet received any written confirmations/guarantees from Tiraspol regarding the technical parameters formulated and presented by Chișinău. Thus, the situation remains uncertain.
We once again call on Tiraspol to be more responsible and open to conducting direct dialogue that meets the interests of pupils, parents and teachers exclusively. Any delay, ignoring or politicization of educational topics negatively affects the climate of trust and the proper development of educational processes.
