Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian and Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun in dialogue with the directors of the 8 educational institutions teaching in Romanian in the Transnistrian region

Today, February 12, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian together with the Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun, held a working meeting with the directors of eight educational institutions that teach in Romanian language from the Transnistrian region.
During the meeting, in the context of the academic year 2023 – 2024, issues related to the educational process in the mentioned institutions, main achievements, future perspectives and the management of the problems encountered by the schools were approached, as well as matters following new potential unilateral actions from Tiraspol with the specification that, in case these occur, the constitutional authorities will identify optimal solutions and mechanisms.
The directors of the educational institutions specified that, despite multiple artificially created impediments by the exponents of Tiraspol, the attractiveness of the schooling process in these educational institutions is evidenced by the increasing number of pupils every year.
Assurances were given with regard to the openness of the Bureau and the Ministry of Education and Research on taking all necessary efforts to maintain the good functioning of these schools. In addition, further ensuring an active dialogue in the interests of pupils, teachers and the development of a high-quality educational process was agreed.
