The Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian delivered a public lesson at the State University of Moldova

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian delivered a public lesson with the title "The Transnistrian crisis in the current geopolitical context: challenges and solutions", in front of students and academic staff from the Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences (FRIȘPA) of the State University of Moldova (USM).

"It is a pleasure to return to this department, in front of the students from FRIȘPA, where I worked for a long time as a professor" said Oleg Serebrian, who spoke about the history of the Transnistrian problem, the regional geopolitical situation and the dynamics of the negotiation process regarding the Transnistrian settlement in the context of the war in Ukraine. "The Transnistrian file is a classic example of geopolitical conflict. Moreover, between the two terms - "Transnistria" and "geopolitics" - there is also a twinning of destiny. They appeared in the same period, the last decade of the 19th century, and had a similar evolution - a more frequent use in the interwar period and especially in the years of the Second World War, a forgetting or even prohibition of use in the post-war period and a dizzying re-entry into use in the last decade of the 20th century", said the official.

The event was held under the auspices of USM, on the occasion of "FRIȘPA Student Week".
