Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian took part in the events marking Europe Day

On the occasion of Europe Day, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Oleg Serebrian, participated in a series of events organized in Chișinău as a sign of homage to the European values of peace, unity and solidarity, which the Republic of Moldova firmly assumes in its European path.
On the morning of May 9, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian, together with the leadership of the Republic of Moldova, led by President Maia Sandu, laid flowers at the „Eternitate” Memorial Complex in the capital, commemorating the victims of World War II (1939-1945) and reaffirming our country's commitment to maintaining peace, prosperity and respect for fundamental human rights.
Later, the Deputy Prime Minister participated in the official opening of the European Village – a platform dedicated to promoting the values and principles of the European Union among the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. The event offered an opportunity to reaffirm our country’s strategic choice in favor of integration into the European family, as well as to strengthen partnerships with EU member states.
As part of the Europe Day events, Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian engaged in a dialogue with young people gathered in Chișinău for the YEPP Council Meeting – an event organized under the auspices of the Youth of the European People’s Party (YEPP), which brought together representatives of youth organizations from across Europe. The discussions focused on topics related to the European path of the Republic of Moldova, the involvement of young people in democratic processes and the promotion of a political culture anchored in European values.
Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian’s participation in these events once again emphasized the Chișinău authorities’ determination to irreversibly advance along the path of European integration as a national project for modernization, prosperity, and stability on both banks of the Nistru River.
