Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian had a meeting today with the head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Kelly Keiderling.

 

During the meeting, the current dynamics in the negotiation process regarding the Transnistrian settlement and the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Moldova in the field of the country reintegration policies were discussed.

 

The complexity of the current internal and regional security situation was once again highlighted, and the necessity to maintain stability was reiterated, including in the perimeter of the Security Zone and in the eastern districts of the country.

 

The interlocutors also discussed other matters related to the Transnistrian file, as well as the current issues on the negotiation agenda, especially how to solve them.

 

The officials agreed on the necessity to continue to maintain a dialogue aimed at creating an atmosphere of normality, predictability and confidence-building on both banks of the Nistru River.
