Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian visits Molovata, Dubasari district

On December 3, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian and members of the UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS Executive Council visited a number of local infrastructure facilities located in the village of Molovata, Dubasari district.

The officials documented the implementation of community development projects financed by UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS, as well as the impact of programs to promote confidence-building measures in the context of the Transnistrian settlement process.

Among the visited objects are the water pumping station in Molovata, which contributes to the efficient management of local aquatic resources and to the improvement of their sustainability, and the Community Center in the same locality, which has become a local platform for meeting, collaboration and strengthening mutual trust between the inhabitants of the two banks of the Nistru River.  

During the discussions taking place while visiting the objects, the Deputy Prime Minister addressed the existing challenges in the Transnistrian settlement process, as well as the difficulties faced by the people on both banks of the Nistru River. Oleg Serebrian expressed gratitude to the development partners for their contribution to promoting confidence-building measures and improving the living conditions of the inhabitants of the Security Zone and assured that the national authorities are determined to continue the fruitful cooperation with international partners, including the United Nations and its subordinate structures.
