Dialogue with Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council Jan Egeland

On 9 December 2024, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian and the Head of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies Alin Gvidiani had a working meeting with Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council Jan Egeland and Country Director for the Republic of Moldova and Romania Jacopo Caridi, accompanied by teams from both institutions.

The discussions focused on humanitarian projects implemented by the Norwegian Refugee Council throughout the Republic of Moldova, including in the Transnistrian region of the country, reiterating the Bureau's full openness to work on activities aimed at providing primary and strictly necessary assistance to the population, with priority being given to people from socially vulnerable groups, residing on both banks of the Nistru River

The necessity for the projects promoted in the eastern districts of the country to bring an added value to the implementation of the governmental policies of reintegration of the country was highlighted.
