Discussions with representatives of the Norwegian Refugee Council regarding activities carried out in the Republic of Moldova

On 9 July 2026, the Head of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, Alin Gvidiani, held a working meeting with the Director of the Office of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in the Republic of Moldova, Neil Brighton, and representatives of the Office.

The discussions focused on the activities carried out by the NRC, including projects implemented in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the types of humanitarian assistance provided to vulnerable persons and the forms of support offered to them.

With regard to the activities and initiatives carried out in the Transnistrian region, the need to continue coordinating these efforts with the Bureau for Reintegration Policies was reiterated, in line with the commitments undertaken towards the Republic of Moldova and the priorities established within the country’s reintegration process.

At the same time, appreciation was expressed for the support provided by the Norwegian Refugee Council, as well as for its contribution to the implementation of activities aimed at assisting the population on both banks of the Nistru River.
