Documentation of vehicles from the Transnistrian region with neutral model plates was discussed within the framework of Working Groups on car transport and road infrastructure development

On August 16, 2024, a new meeting of Working Groups on car transport and road infrastructure development was held via videoconference with the participation of experts from both banks of the Nistru River.

In the context of the resumption of the primary documentation process at the vehicle registration offices in the cities of Tiraspol and Râbnița, experts exchanged views on possible measures to ensure the normal functioning of these territorial subdivisions, increase the efficiency of their activities and the ability to service/document a larger number of applicants and categories of vehicles listed in provisions of Law No. 170/2018.

The experts from Chișinău reiterated the need to offer the possibility of servicing applicants according to the principle of the „live” queue, in parallel with the formula of preliminary appointments, to allow the processing of more requests.

Openness to further maintaining a constructive dialogue was expressed.
