The dynamics of the Transnistrian settlement process were discussed by the head of the Reintegration Policies Bureau Alin Gvidiani with the Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Anna Lührmann

Today, March 9, 2023, the head of the Reintegration Policies Bureau Alin Gvidiani had a working meeting with the Minister of State of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Mrs. Anna Lührmann, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Margaret Uebber.

The Head of the Bureau informed about the dynamics of the dialogue in the negotiation formats regarding the Transnistrian settlement and about the approaches and priorities of the authorities of the Republic of Moldova in promoting the country's reintegration policies, highlighting the need to strengthen joint efforts with external partners in order to improve the human rights situation in the region and honor the positive obligations of the constitutional authorities in relation to its citizens living in the eastern districts of the country.

The firm position of Chișinău was reiterated regarding the exclusively peaceful, political and comprehensive settlement of the Transnistrian conflict in order to consolidate and fully reunify the state and ensure the full implementation of all the structural reforms undertaken throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova, especially from the perspective of the pre-accession to the European Union.

It was mentioned that all possible efforts are being made in order to maintain constructive dialogue, avoid destabilization outbreaks, solve pressing problems in a legal and humanitarian way and eliminate artificial obstacles between the inhabitants of both banks of the Nistru River.
