The essence and dynamics of the Transnistrian issue were presented in the dialogue between Alin Gvidiani, the head of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, and a delegation from the federal state of Hesse in the Federal Republic of Germany

On Thursday, May 2, 2024, Alin Gvidiani, the head of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, had a working meeting with a delegation from the federal state of Hesse, Federal Republic of Germany, led by the Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs, and Debureaucratization of the federal state of Hesse, and representative of the state at the Federal Government, Mr. Manfred Pentz.

During the dialogue, the essence of the Transnistrian file was presented, including the main developments, challenges, and opportunities, the role of international partners and civil society in this file, and the primary lines of intervention from the constitutional authorities to complete the strategic objective of reintegrating the country.

It was explicitly mentioned that the authorities in Chișinău opt for a constructive dialogue, the removal of the temporarily uncontrollable region from self-isolation and informational censorship, its inclusion in democratic and legal processes, and the full implementation of national and international standards throughout the country.

It was highlighted that the Bureau constantly monitors the human rights situation in the eastern districts of the country, which is extremely serious, and thus, mobilization of efforts is required both from Chișinău and relevant external partners to protect the citizens and ensure the respect of universally recognized values through international law.
