Head of the Bureau Alin Gvidiani participated in the 8th Meeting of the Association Committee between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union

On December 2, 2024, the Head of the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, Alin Gvidiani, participated online in the 8th Meeting of the Association Committee of the Republic of Moldova-European Union, held in Brussels.

Within the framework of the platform dedicated to security aspects and the Transnistrian issue, the Head of the Bureau noted that the authorities of the Republic of Moldova continue to promote coherent policies in the field of reintegration of the country, focused on restoring unique national spaces in various sectors and certainly the opportunities for European integration provide clear impulses in both directions.

It was reaffirmed the firm commitment of the Republic of Moldova to achieve a comprehensive, peaceful and sustainable settlement of the Transnistrian conflict based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country within the borders recognized by the international community.

It was referred to the continuation of the approach of maintaining a constructive interaction in the existing dialogue formats and supporting the implementation of new confidence building projects aimed at eliminating the disparities between both banks of the Nistru River.

Also, it was emphasized that the population from the two banks of the Nistru River has full access and actively uses the benefits and possibilities offered by the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova.
