The Joint Control Commission met in a working meeting in Bender

At its weekly meeting on 5 December 2024, the Joint Control Commission heard the report of the Joint Military Command on the situation in the Security Zone, according to which no major incidents were observed between 27 November and 3 December 2024.

Proposals for appointment of three new military observers from the Republic of Moldova were approved.

In connection with the reports of Tiraspol representatives about the fact that concrete blocks were removed from some main roads, in the coming days, military observers are to check and document the real state of things on the ground.

We remind that in recent years, the force structures in the Transnistrian region have abusively installed concrete blocks on several routes impeding the movement of citizens and means of transport. The delegation of the Republic of Moldova has constantly demanded the elimination of these impediments and the ensuring of free movement in the Security Zone, as established by the acts of the peacekeeping mission on the Nistru River.

The issue of free movement will remain in the attention of the delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission.
