The legal framework regarding the delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission has been updated

At its meeting on 4 December 2024, the Government approved amendments to the Regulation of the Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission and approved its nominal composition.
The update of the legal framework on this segment aims to strengthen the capacities of the Moldovan delegation to the Joint Control Commission on the coordination of peacekeeping aspects in the Transnistrian settlement process.
In particular, there were interventions regarding the status and structure of the delegation, but also on issues related to the activity of members and experts, who represent public administration authorities and exercise specific duties in the Security Zone.
The Delegation of the Republic of Moldova to the Joint Control Commission provides multilateral assistance to the process of peaceful and political settlement of the Transnistrian conflict through continuous monitoring of the situation in the Security Zone, participation in solving problems related to citizens' safety, peace and order in the Security Zone.
