Meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian with the Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Belgium and the Kingdom of Denmark

On 10 October 2024, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian met H.E. Evert Marechal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Moldova and H.E. Soren Jensen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian presented the current picture on the situation in the Transnistrian region, the dynamics of interaction in existing negotiation formats, ongoing problems and policies promoted by Chișinău aimed at the reintegration of the country. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the authorities' firm determination to continue the process of solving the conflict exclusively peacefully, strengthening the statehood and security of the Republic of Moldova.
Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian stressed the importance of maintaining the atmosphere of security and constructive dialogue and highlighted the progress made on restoring social-economic unity: all companies from the Transnistrian region, as well as those from the right bank of the Nistru River, export and import goods on the basis of national permissive acts, 80% of the exports of the Transnistrian region are directed to the countries of the European Union, over 90% of the inhabitants of the region are citizens of the Republic of Moldova, and many of them are integrated into the labor market on the right bank of the Nistru River.
