Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian with the Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Doris El Doueihy

On Thursday, March 16, 2023, the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a meeting with the Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Doris El Doueihy.

The discussions focused on the activities carried out by the ICRC in the Republic of Moldova, the categories of humanitarian assistance granted, including for refugees from Ukraine temporarily accommodated in the country, the training provided to the relevant national institutions and the forms of cooperation developed with them.

Regarding the activities and assistance projects implemented in the Transnistrian region, the need to coordinate them with the Reintegration Policies Bureau was mentioned, in order to avoid sensitive aspects and erroneous interpretations on the part of Tiraspol.

Gratitude was expressed for the humanitarian and technical support offered to the Republic of Moldova by the ICRC and the openness to strengthen partnerships in areas of mutual interest was revealed.
