Meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian with the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in the Republic of Moldova Yesim Oruc

On December 10, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian held a working meeting with the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Moldova Yesim Oruc.

The dialogue focused on the activities implemented by the UN agencies in the Republic of Moldova, with the support of which quality projects were carried out in various spheres (social protection, human rights, infrastructural modernization, energy efficiency, ecology, etc.), including the dimension of promoting confidence-building measures between the both banks of the Nistru River.

The need for constant monitoring of the problems faced by citizens of the Republic of Moldova in the Transnistrian region, coordination of planned activities in the region with the Bureau for Reintegration Policies, as well as intervention through effective assistance mechanisms in the spirit of ensuring respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms was emphasized.
