Meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian with UN Assistant Secretary-General Shoko N

On September 9, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian held a working meeting with Shoko Noda, UN Assistant Secretary-General, Director of the Crisis Bureau of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), accompanied by Daniela Gasparikova, UNDP Resident Representative in the Republic of Moldova.
The dialogue focused on the current state of the Transnistrian file, the dynamics of interaction in the existing negotiation formats, actual problems and solutions proposed by Chișinău, as well as the Government's priorities in implementing sectoral policies in the field of reintegration of the country.
Avoiding escalation scenarios, maintaining an atmosphere of security and constructive dialogue, preserving established communication channels and solving ongoing problems in the legitimate interests of the population, were evoked as primary lines of action.
Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian emphasized the effective impact of the projects for development and promotion of confidence-building measures implemented by the UN in the Republic of Moldova, which contribute to supporting the regulatory process and strengthening the country's reintegration policies.
