Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian with the UNFPA representative in the Republic of Moldova, Ms. Nigina Abaszada

On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a meeting with the representative of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) in the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Nigina Abaszada.

The officials reviewed the assistance projects implemented with the support of UNFPA on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, in particular on the component of providing humanitarian aid and strengthening the protection of human rights in various areas of intervention: involving young people, preventing and combating violence against women, modernizing the health sector.

The intention was expressed to carry out similar support projects in the Transnistrian region of the country, highlighting in this regard the necessity to coordinate the procedures and measures required with the competent national authorities, including the Bureau of Reintegration Policies.
