Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration with the delegation of the Storting (Parliament) of the Kingdom of Norway

Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian had a meeting today with the delegation of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the Storting (Parliament) of the Kingdom of Norway.

During the discussions, the officials reviewed the main aspects of the Transnistrian settlement process, with an emphasis on recent developments, including from the perspective of the regional security situation influenced by Russia's aggression in Ukraine.

In the dialogue held with the Norwegian parliamentarians, Oleg Serebrian revealed details of particular interest regarding the Transnistrian issue, including the negotiation process within the existing formats, the energy sphere, the refugee crisis and the connections between the reintegration process of the Republic of Moldova and the European integration process.

The representatives of the Storting of Norway sent a strong message of support for the efforts of the national authorities to peacefully restore the territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova within the internationally recognized borders, showing willingness to maintain useful interactions for both sides on the Transnistrian issue.
