Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration with the head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission on the border of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine
Today, May 10, 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian met with Slawomir Pichor, Head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM).
The officials reviewed the previously established good cooperation relations, the achievements made in the process, including the expertise and recommendations generated by the EUBAM Mission on issues related to the Transnistrian case, and reiterated the readiness to coordinate further action on issues of common interest.
Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian pointed out the current situation in the negotiation process on the Transnistrian settlement and its prospects from the point of view of Chisinau, highlighted the visions of the Moldovan authorities in overcoming current issues of concern to citizens and businesses on both banks of the Nistru river.
The importance of the assistance provided by the EUBAM Mission was revealed, as it makes an essential contribution to the transposition of the European Union's compliance requirements at national level and which in turn creates premises for the restoration of the single spaces between the two banks (economic, customs, trade, etc.).
