Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration Oleg Serebrian with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden in the Republic of Moldova

On Monday, March 13, the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Katarina Fried.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister informed about the new priorities in the agenda for promoting the country reintegration policies. The positions of Chisinau were communicated in relation to the situation in the Transnistrian region, including the latest events in Tiraspol.

Oleg Serebrian said that the most important topics on the agenda remain: ensuring respect for fundamental human rights, including education in the mother tongue; the access of farmers from the Dubăsari district to the agricultural lands located east of the Camenca-Tiraspol highway; maintaining stability and continuing the dialogue in the existing formats in order to solve the problems faced by the residents on both banks of the Nistru River, as well by the economic agents.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to our country by the Government of Sweden, in particular in the field of promoting projects to strengthen confidence measures in the Security Zone and support for the protection of human rights in the Transnistrian region.
