The meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian with the Ambassadors of the Political and Security Committee of the European Union

November 8, 2024, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian met with the Ambassadors of the Political and Security Committee of the Council of the European Union, who were on a documentary visit to our country. The officials discussed a set of topics relevant to the Transnistrian settlement and reintegration of the country.

Thus, answering the questions of European diplomats, Deputy Prime Minister Serebrian gave detailed assessments of the policies of the national authorities on such topics as the assistance provided by the EU to the Republic of Moldova, including the Transnistrian dossier, the situation of regional security and the provision of energy resources to the region.

The agenda of the negotiations with the European Commission for the European integration of our country in conjunction with the efforts to reintegrate the Transnistrian region into the unique space of national sovereignty was another important topic addressed during the meeting. The European Ambassadors offered assurances regarding their total attachment to the peaceful restoration of the national unity and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, within its internationally recognized borders, communicating their readiness to continue providing assistance for the successful reunification of the Transnistrian region in all processes of preparations for EU accession that Chișinău manages in partnership with the European institutions.

In conclusion, Oleg Serebrian expressed gratitude to the Ambassadors for the constant support provided to our country by the EU during the most important historical period through which we are passing, expressing confidence in the irreversibility of the European destiny of the Republic of Moldova.
